Sailing on Lake Diefenbaker with

LIVING SKY SAILING SCHOOL

Meet Adagio

Tanzer 26'

Adagio is a 1980 Tanzer 26' sailboat. It uses a 9.9hp outboard when not being sailed. We use tiller steering to have a true feel of sailing. It has an icebox, two burner stove, Small galley sink and a full operational marine head (toilet). Adagio has private VBerth and additional sleeping arrangements to accommodate at least four. Adagio has a displacement of 4300 pounds. Nearly 2000 pounds of this is cast iron keel. This gives great stability to a boat of this size. New electronics were installed in 2021. Adagio is licensed, insured and meets the Transport Canada Safety requirements.
Living Sky Sailing School offers the following sailing opportunities on Adagio:

What does Live A Board mean?

You will arrive at the boat on the first day of the adventure and move in! You will be sleeping on the boat each night of your trip. Adagio has a private V Berth for these trips that comfortably sleeps one. The common table/dining area has room for another. A quarterberth is also available if three (including the instructor) are on board for the night. Bedding and pillows are provided. Prior to each trip the sheets, pillow cases and duvets are washed. When you have registered for a trip, a menu will be created and shared to accommodate any dietary concerns. The groceries will be on board when we depart. ALL members will share in food prep and cleaning. The cost of groceries is included in the listed prices. The general itinerary will be developed for the trip and will be verified and possibly modified each day to meet the weather and travel conditions present in our area.
When more accommodations are required a suitable boat will be contracted.
Our daily goal is to participate in cruising and learning to sail.
